Question 6
In what ways does your media product use,
develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
From my research I was able to identify
the common features of a music magazine. My media product has the main features
such as the title to easily identify the magazine so the audience knows what
magazine they are looking at. I have also included the main image on the front
which is of my cover artist for the magazine, this gives an idea of the genre
of the magazine as the audience can tell by the clothes and the positioning of
the main image. I will use the main conventions on my cover story as well to
make my work look more professional and like a real magazine to encourage
people to buy it.
Question 7
Looking back at your preliminary task,
what do
you feel you have learnt in the
progression from it
to the full product?
From start to finish I have learnt many
different techniques about how to create a detailed magazine that features all
the different conventions that a typical magazine has. I have learnt what a
professional magazine looks like and the stages I can do to achieve my own
professional looking magazine. I have learnt the typical codes and conventions
of magazines so I knew what features I could use in my magazine to make it look
like a real magazine.
