Photo shoot Title: Upcoming Artist Photo shoot

Photo shoot Concept:

In my photo shoot I will want to get various shots of my model so I have more to work with when deciding what extra added photos I want to use. I will also want to get two main photos so I can use one on the cover and one in my double page spread.

Aims:

I would like to  get pictures that I could use for my cover page and DPS, I would like to achieve the best photos possible to make my magazine better.

Date & Timings:

I will take the photos on Friday the 17^th 2014 at around 10:00 am. I plan for the shoot to take no longer than 20 minutes to achieve the shots I want

Location:

I will take the photos at school against a plan coloured background so it easier to edit in a suitable background for the magazine article

Props:

I will not need any props apart from the equipment I will use to achieve the shots I want

I will plan on setting the photo shoot up myself with minimal help from my model

Equipment & Preparation:

For preparation I will hope to have sufficient space to take photos and enough battery life to do the whole shoot in one go. I will not need a tripod or any extra lightning to take my shots

The Brand New Artist Nick Rhymes has announced himself on the big stage with a debut No 1 Single. We talk to him to find out all the biggest news on him and his career.

Q: So Nick, Who did you look up to when your first started you music career?

A: I have always been interested in music so i looked up too all the big artists like Ne-Yo and Kanye West, they had always been a big influence on my music and made me want to become an artist.

Q: When did you know that you had made it as an artist?

A: Apart from the song being number 1, it would probably be when I first stepped into the recording studio to start recording the track, that was a big moment for me and my career.

Q: Who would you like to collobarate with in the future?

A: It would have to be Ne-Yo or Kanye as they got me into music and i have a track lined up with a big artist so make sure to look out for that.

Q: How were you discovered to become an artist?

A: I was performing at a bar and after a performance a man came up to me and said that i was good enough to make it my job, he is now my record producer and did most of the work on my first single.

Q: Do you plan on touring?

A: I plan to tour after I have released my first album and tour around the UK performing the songs from my album

Q:What would you plan on doing if the music career never happened?

A: I was very interested in Sport so it would be around that, most likely as a coach of someone or a team.

Magazine Audience

My magazine is aimed at teenagers and young adults who are interested in music, it will be aimed at both boys and girls so it can reach a large audience and attract more people to read it. My magazine will appeal to this audience because of the language used and the artists mentioned will appeal to them. The colours used will appeal to both boys and girls because they will be red and blue colours which should appeal to both genders. My magazine will hopefully appeal to a larger audience if the codes and conventions are more general and don't appeal to anyone specific.
The demographic I will aim at is E which will aim towards students which come under my target audience of teenagers and young adults.

I found out who my target audience was by looking at examples of music magazines and seeing who they appealed, some of the examples did appeal to me so I knew that the majority of them would appeal to students, and based on the colours used they would appeal to both boys and girls.

My Magazine design

The layout of my magazine is going to be in clear designated boxes for different information so it is clear what is by the artist and what is about the artist. I will use a clear and readable font for the main information and a more interesting font for the titles and sub-titles. I will use a image of my artist as the main background and the artist themselves will be in the centre.

My magazine:

The concept of my magazine is going to be an RnB magazine that will appeal to both boys and girls but mainly towards boys. The colors i will use will be red, blue, black and white to signify the RnB genre to make it easily identifiable to my audience.

The main features of a double page spread is that the text is on a different page to all the text. There will be a tag-line to grab the attention and then a line to introduce the artist. The main text will most commonly either be a questionnaire or words from the artist themselves.
